A 40 second spot for Bacardi Rum mixes dance and state of the art digital VFX.
Conjured up by the throbbing pulse, clear liquid splashes to form into a recognisably male human shape. Highly elated dancing ensues, our transparent hero is soon joined by another form - female this time, and formed from liquid of a distinctly crimson hue. They finally come together with an ecstatic splash and, united, drop into a tall, ice-filled glass.
The choreographed raw material for the spots was shot at a London studio over several days. The dancers were covered in black body paint and then put through their paces whilst hoses played over their bodies.
The spots comprised a mixture of 2D and 3D elements, with finishing touches by Flame artists Stephane Allender and Jonathan Hairman at Framestore.
